The ICFP Board of Directors has pleasure in inviting you to the development session on 12 March 2019 at the SIU in Pretoria. This is an industry networking event intended to foster conversation and learning.

We are very excited to welcome Ms Jacqui-Lyn McIntyre-Louw as our guest presenter.
 
 

Jacqui-Lyn is a Senior Lecturer at the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University. She has 15 years of work experience in the auditing and forensic fields. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and obtained a Master’s degree in Forensic Accountancy.

Her lecturing subjects include forensic accountancy and internal audit at honours level, and external audit at undergraduate level. She serves on the scientific committee of the South African Accounting Association where she regularly reviews research articles; she also serves on the editorial team for the International Journal of Interdisciplinary Forensic Accounting Research, based in the USA.

Topic: Lifestyle  audits

Lifestyle audits have become a much-debated topic in South Africa since September 2018.  This session will provide attendees with the background, theory and purpose of Lifestyle audits whilst discussing the legal acceptance and pros and cons of the various methods available for use.

Attendees will have to chance to perform a lifestyle audit as part of a case study during the practical afternoon session.
