Threats to towards persons in the workplace are commonplace but most companies are often lacking the necessary skills to assess, understand and manage such situations. These threats may come from customers, clients, service providers, anonymous sources and even co-workers. While people can receive threats irrespective of the nature of one’s occupation, certain occupations are more inclined to receive threats, such as people involved in the customer service industry, and forensic investigators.

This presentation highlights typical threats faced by companies towards its staff, the duty of care employers owe to staff, and best practice guidelines how these threats should be dealt with in the workplace.
