The dawn of proactivity:  Countering threats from inside and out

According to the 2018 Global Economic Crime and Fraud Survey of PwC:

  • 77% of South African organisations said they’ve been victims of economic crime and fraud;
  • 67% of South African respondents said losses due directly to their most disruptive fraud could reach US$ 1M;
  • 49% of all frauds are perpetrated by people inside South African organisations;
  • 29% of South African respondents that suffered economic crime indicated that they experienced cybercrime.
